Youtube starts to earn money states ES and its contents will tend to grow. (Agreements have been reached with some media to present their content in videos).
Twitter and Facebook are prime examples of companies operating in real time, but there are many others.
The search
The real-time indexing will become the norm. ES says that Google is already able to index content in real time, but raises a question: how to establish a ranking of results in real time? (Google has already struck a deal with Twitter to include tweets in search results).
The nature of search results will change and will come less from traditional sources and more and more from people who share their information.
We know a bit more about the mysterious Google OS whose screenshots rather sober are presented here or there.
The OS will equip computers in 2010. Dedicated to Web applications, it allows them to will work off line thanks to the implementation of HTML 5 in the browser, with its offline functions.
